Follow these instructions to set up HyperTerminal as your default Telnet client in Windows.
NOTE: If you are using VISTA, please download
this file. HyperTerminal is no longer included with Vista. place both files
in the zip file somewhere on your hard drive (i.e.: c:\hyperterm) and skip to Step
Two...
Step One: Navigate to the HyperTerminal Program as shown
Step Two: If you have not set up your local dialing area (because of being on broadband), the following two screens will appear, otherwise skip to Step Three...
Local Information: Enter your country of origin, your area code, and if you have to dial an outside line. Click OK
Phone and Modem Options: click OK
Step Three:
Connection Description: Set up your connection as shown, if you want you can change the icon.
Step Four:
Connect To: Go to the dropdown box at the bottom and select TCP/IP. Enter in the information as shown, then click OK. You will then connect to the BBS.

After you close the Tenet window you will be asked if you want to save this connection.
